I am a contemporary indian artist. I welcome you to Digmeart a space for figurative-abstract paintings and digital art. Digmeart stands for digital Meenal art & I hope you dig my work!

I work primarily in the figurative-abstract genre, with nature appearing often in a non-realistic form. I have made several forays into abstract art, decorative art, figurative art and child art.

My style blends lucid art, naive art and soulful art. Indian colours interplay with western concepts while retaining a strong graphic sensibility.

With an academic background in psychology, my creative expression is also influenced by meditation and consciousness research. My art reflects inner journeys, intuition, and the integration of the Indian collective consciuosness with western education and independent thought.

I work on the principles of essence, wonder, simplicity, innocence, vibrancy and serenity, integrating opposing perspectives into harmony.

All my digital art is spontaneous. I let the mouse flow as a brush. I am primarily a colorist, ideas often emerge through color itself. On canvas, I am more calculated and may work out motifs in drawings.

I see art as a celebration of life in all its colors, moods, ideas, romantic notions and spiritual aspirations. I paint because it is joyful and I feel warmly towards it.
